I've been a Ruby on Rails developer for 15 years. In May 2025, I decided to change my life. From now on, I'll build everything in public.

My Origin Story
For fifteen years, I worked as a Ruby on Rails developer. I enjoyed building things with code, and for a long time, that work was a big part of my life.
Then, something happened in my personal life, a terrible event that had a huge impact on me. It was one of those moments that doesn't just change your plans, it changes who you are, deeply and permanently.
After that, I reached a turning point. I realized that feelings of shame or shyness, which I'd carried for a long time without really noticing, were holding me back. I knew I couldn't live with those limits anymore, so I made a firm decision to change things and let go of what was stopping me.
So now, I'm focused on doing what needs to be done. I want to chase my goals and be true to myself, even if it's uncomfortable or takes me to new places. The most important thing is that what I do is moral, ethical, and shows respect for everyone. It feels like more than just a new chapter; it's like starting a new way of life.
This is day one.
Words I Resonate With
"The only way to do great work is to love what you do."
"Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication."
"Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value."
"Turn your wounds into wisdom."
"Courage is doing something despite the fear, and I've worked hard on being a courageous person."
"Don't sit down and wait for the opportunities to come. Get up and make them."
"You can choose courage, or you can choose comfort, but you cannot choose both."
"It's not about ideas. It's about making ideas happen."
What I'm Letting Go Of
Growth often means shedding what no longer serves. Here are a few things I'm consciously working on leaving behind:
- The illusion of perfect control.
- Fear of judgment for imperfect work.
- Overcommitting and under-delivering.
- Chasing external validation.
- The belief that 'busy' equals 'productive'.
This is Not a Portfolio... It's a Story of Creation
You won't find a conventional portfolio here. My journey has been less about detached projects and more about deep, immersive creation. From fostering vibrant communities to building entire learning ecosystems from scratch, these experiences, fueled by fifteen years as a developer, shape how I approach every new challenge.
Community Cultivation: The RubyCademy X Story
Managing the RubyCademy X (formerly Twitter) account was an exercise in authentic connection. In a very specific niche, I grew an engaged community, generating over a million views annually. This taught me the power of consistent value and genuine interaction in building an audience.

Building a Universe: The RubyCademy Platform
My first startup, RubyCademy.com, was an e-learning platform for mastering Ruby and Ruby on Rails. It offered hundreds of resources and three in-depth courses, featuring around 400,000 words of original content, all written before the rise of AI tools. This project highlighted my deep expertise and passion for sharing knowledge in the Ruby world.

These endeavors, born from over a decade and a half in development, weren't just projects; they were passion manifested. The lessons learned in community building, content creation, and entrepreneurial grit are now integral to how I approach my next wave of products and innovations. I'm excited to apply these insights to create even more impactful solutions.
Current Personal Quests
Beyond client work and coding, I believe in setting ambitious personal challenges to foster growth, discipline, and continuous learning. Here are a couple I'm actively pursuing:
